I am a firm believer in free speech and the right to state an inoffensive opinion, no matter how "out there" it may be. So I have never deleted a post before this morning. But I will not tolerate a lynch mob mentality here or in my personal life. What is the difference between the post requesting to vote on Hansix' removal and someone ringing my doorbell and asking me to sign a document requesting one of our neighbors move out of his home on our block because he is African American, Jewish, Palestinian, Chinese, doesn't celebrate Christmas, or whatever? Sure, Hansix is "out there" for sure. But I don't think his posts are disruptive or personally insulting. I welcome the poster to continue contributing to the board in a less totalitarian manner.
By the way, I do not approve of Balboabob's banning. If you are going to be "out there" in your expressed opinions and "in your face" in reaction to criticism then you'd better have a thick skin. Bob tested the skin thickness of that effusive poster. That's OK in my book.
