the situation could be better, as there are load limits. A cold snap would help, but stuff is getting up that way. There could be a challenge if that heavy dump truck or any other heavy loads need to get up to Tyee.

Secondary Route - Prosperous Lake to Gibbs Lake

Maintenance crews continued with general maintenance and recovery on day shift, and a recovery crew on night shift. Ice sections of the route remain in good condition. Due to continuing warm weather, an additional water truck was added to the maintenance crew to focus on repair of blowouts on the portages. This operation worked well and all portages are now in good condition.

Sanding material was staged at Tyhee and sanding of portages, as required, was ongoing. Three line profiling of the route was carried out; again this week, marginal ice thickness increases were recorded and no reduction in thickness was found.

The Prosperous boat launch to NTPC Bluefish section weight limit for two way hauling was increased to 35” on February 29th.

The Secondary Route remains open to southbound empty truck traffic only north of the Bluefish NTPC turnoff. Anyone wishing to haul northbound beyond the Bluefish NTPC turnoff must contact the JV for scheduling and confirmation of allowable weight limits.
