While the bulk of issues in permitting for Tyhee are NWT Government, the federal regualtions are now goign to be expedited (retractively).

From www.cbc.ca The Conservatives are also fulfilling a promise to streamline the approvals process for major resource projects such as mining and pipelines, going to a "one project, one review" policy, within 24 months. This change will affect projects retroactively — meaning projects currently under review could be expedited.

As for Big Sky, it is a huge area to explore and this can add some buzz down the road while saving costs now. OK by my book, but a real give away...
