I had dinner last night with a contact from Yellowknife. He said that the point man for Tyhee in the environmental process, H.W., is not well received by regulatory people and by the engineering firm Tyhee used in the past, and that approval of Tyhee's Environmental Assessment would have been much faster if H.W. were not the lead guy. From what he hears, there is a major personality conflict with this guy and "everybody" in the regulator and local consulting networks. If this is true, perhaps there is one more head that needs to roll up there. If it is not true, then I would put it down to not everybody getting along well up there.
This makes me wonder if we have all the right people involved, or if Tyhee needs to have a frank discussion with the MVEIRB and other key agencies, and find out what they could be doing better.
Is anybody in a position to seek confirmation as to whether personalities are an issues up there?
