I agree except for the part about a rise in the price of gold being key. I think that's not nearly as important a a rise in the price of producing miners such as found in the HUI index or GDX ETF. Once the 6 year bear market in miners is clearly giving way to a rousing rally, institutional investors will flock into the mining sector and some will search down the food chain. It won't take much once that happens. But right now we are virtually off that radar screen. That is why rational arguments regarding Tyhee's undervaluation are ignored by the SP - no one is listening. YET.
We've had a rousing rally in gold for six years which hasn't rubbed off. Miner outperformance is key IMO.
