Cramer and Buffett say we (i.e. the US, but Canada is closely linked) are going over the fiscal cliff, likely in January. (P, I know what you think of Cramer). Republicans will not agree to raise taxes, Democrats will not agree to reduce entitlements.

Sprott on the other hand says gold is the answer.
