Who knew? 

Black vía Interinvest (using other people's money) plus Black himself and his associates invested HEAVILY in Tyhee. I find it difficult to believe he did so in order to keep the company alive just so he could "line his pockets" as some have suggested. I felt, he truely thought he could get Tyhee into production. And, from what I've been told by those who should know, there were times when he almost got financing that would have achieved his goals.
