CK ... here is where a lot of my ignorance shows ....
I know little about the type of spectrum Look owns,
how much is required for an excellent network,
if any of the spectrum is strategically redundant and therefore worth selling a company wishing to act at a regional level,
if some of the spectrum available for sale is complimentary to the existing spectrum making the perfect national network Look owns or would own,
What I'm sure the company would like to do is use the tax credits before they expire .... so if some of the spectrum is not suited or redundant for strategic objectives and your own success is not predicated on the success of your ability to penetrate the market for wireless voice data etc. that is you just own what others need, I would selectively divest that which is not needed to support an excellent network and then attempt to buy at all cost including the sale of 49% of the company the remaining spectrum to make them either a national supreme network ... if indeed that is possible, or 2 dominant in the most populous regions in the country.
obviously there are much deeper pockets in the country then Look, but whomever such a strategic relationship with (in mind likely foreign with an open platform) were to manifest itself, a businsess structure could be arranged to ensure both interests.
IMO the real value of the spectrum will manifest itself in years to come. and the owner of spectrum will be the new utility companies.
<>Would love further insight but my non technical background would limit my understanding in any case ....
