Yes, it would seem that we are flying well below the radar -- perhaps the significance of this "cutting edge" news is being made to look much less so than it really is, hmmm. You would think that being on the verge of actual, yes actual innovation and first class technological advancement (yes, Canada's wireless communications and services might even be able to catch up to the former Soviet Bloc countries, and maybe even that powerhouse, Rwanda, lol) would spur much greater interest in this country considering the ever-changing and fast moving wireless landscape. We all know that for truly innovative changes to our globally lagging wireless industry, the feds are going to have to relax the antiquated FO rules -- yes the left-wing bleeding hearts (aka. Shitbet) are going to whine and cry about the loss of sovereignty and the like, but they need to get their heads out of the sand and step into the 21st century. Anybody that thinks Canada's protectionist policies thus far are benefitting the country presently and in the future in a competitive global environment better just go back to two tin cans on a string for their telephone services as this is not that far from the present oligopoly's way of thinking -- spend less on innovation and upgrades while hoarding cash derived from a less than competitive landscape. One hopes that the needed changes are on the way and maybe, just maybe this country will cease to be a "third-world" country when it comes to wireless technology and services. Watch out Africa, and Eastern Europe!!!
