thanks, Orgy -- you're right this SHOULD be worth atleast $1.2 billion, that is if honesty and integrity prevailed (Look BOD; see here). It does seem that there is much complexities to any deal or arrangement considering how the asset has the ability to turn the Canadian wireless industry on its head (for the better) -- there's also the IC beuracrats that need to okay any transfer too, and not too mention the competition pencil pushers as well.

I have stated that I would be ecstatic with $2.00 per share, but I think this is simply a result of not wanting to expect too much and be dissappointed. One never wants to throw out "pie in the sky" valuations (although they could/should be attainable on this thing; see honesty and integrity) at the risk of being labelled a pumper and getting everyone to buy into an unattainable scenario only to have their hopes dashed. Everything over $2.00 can be looked at as gravy, but there is no reason other than "funny business" or as I like to call it, good ole fashioned bullsh*t, that this meat and potatoes dinner shouldn't be drowned in gravy.

Ishtar made another point on SH in a recent post also eluding to the fact that $2.00 per share is a little on the cheap side. He mentions the GTA and Montreal being worth this on there own -- this pointed out in a presentation by Look. So, it does appear that even Look is not trying to undervalue this thing.

I do have to agree with InDaMoney on this one -- why is 6180 so adamant that we should only expect a maximum of $2.00? We can all see the value to be had at even a billion -- that would be $5.00 per share.

One thing is for sure, if there is even a mention of UBS private anywhere in the vicinity (the same province for that matter) of the final sales arrangement, I think that we should go ape-shit. I would suspect Telus to do the same, that is unless they were involved in any fleecing or flogging of "ocean-front" spectrum at "inner-city ghetto" valuations.

So again, we wait.

Are we there yet?
