Since this process began in December. 3 other stocks I own or have been watching have been bought out, taken over or merged.
You never heard anything about it but occassional rumours. Volume went up drastically and an announcement was made 1-2 week process. Now I don't know what or how long they were in negotiations but it happened fast.
In the case of Certicom there was a bidding war. There was no silly comment like "well they don't want to offer us anything formally because then we may go to another company and tell them what there bid was and ask if they can up it" that is the way buyouts and takeovers happen. Verisign bid on Certicom, Rim came in with a better offer, then Verisign could have come in with a better offer they chose not to. Rim wins. Yeah!
Look Communications/Unique Broadband Systems. I don't know what the hell they are doing but they couldn't sell diamonds to rich chicks. The worst of it is we, the company shareholders are funding these guys and they don't even keep us abreast of what is happening. i.e. PR We are still in talks blah blah blah.
Beach Front property, that is what this spectrum is supposed to be. They can't sell it. Well times are tough. No one is lending money these days. What about 2 years ago when times were great.
If you are not disiplined enough to get it done. I will help. For a small fee, couple of 100 g's. I will come by with my Indiana Jones style whip into the negotiating room. If Bell starts to leave WHick***, back to the table you mud mules.

Guaranteed a deal would get done and it would be fair to both parties.
No more excuses boys get a deal done before you go bankrupt and all this time would be completely wasted. You made one great move in getting that spectrum. But spectrum is nothing without towers and cellphones to attach to it. Like a car without wheels it may be pretty but it's just a boat anchor.
