Peter Kwon | Research Director, Electronics & Media | IHS
Peter leads the display research team, based in Korea. He is an expert in component materials and supply chain analysis as well as display devices. He also has a research experience in the LED and the new & renewable energy industries. Based on his yet another expertise in analyzing patents, one of today’s hottest issues, He analyzes global companies’ patent strategies and guides companies on how to secure patents on promising technologies.
He is also interested in the next generation display technology development through continuous technological innovation. Peter majored in Electronics in Inha university and prioir to joining IHS, He started his career as a researcher and developer at Samsung Display in 1985. He has won a couple of technology innovation awards by Samsung Group for successfully developing key technologies for TVs and monitors. He also succeeded in developing the monitor display for the first time in Korea.
In 2000, He established Displaybank, a research company specialized in the display industry. The company was acquired by IHS in 2012.
Rhoda Alexander | Sr. Manager, Monitor & Tablets | IHS
Rhoda Alexander has been covering the displays industry for more than 20 years. She is widely regarded as being the leading, independent analyst for tablets, as well as desktop and specialty monitors, and her clients include a wide cross section of market leaders across the entire tablet and monitor value chains.
Alexander’s research is comprehensive, encompassing global supply, demand, inventories, and pricing for tablets, ereaders monitors. She tracks ODM/OEM system assembly, distribution channels and end-markets, and she continually analyzes the strategies and local marketing tactics of all leading tablet and monitor brands. She also assesses display and interface technologies to determine future adoption and penetration rates.
Additional areas of analysis include the wider ecosystem surrounding the tablet market place, including the underlying ecosystem drivers such as content, operating systems, cross platform functionality, channel strategies, and partnership arrangements.
Alexander has designed and managed a number of large-scale research projects. These span a diverse range, from support for tactical supply base management to consumer studies of tablet demand and usage in established and emerging markets.
Jaebon Koo | Director | ETRI

Dr. Jae Bon Koo received the BS from Korea University, Seoul, Rep. of Korea, in 1994, and his MS and Ph.D. from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Daejeon, Rep. of Korea, in 1996 and 2000, respectively. His Ph.D. work focused on material science and engineering. From 2000 to 2005, he was a senior researcher with Samsung SDI and joined the development of backplane TFT for active matrix organic light emitting diode (AMOLED). He is currently a principal research engineer and a leader of stretchable interface research team with Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), Daejeon, Rep. of Korea. His main research field is the development of next generation display such as flexible and stretchable display. His current research interests include the processing and the characterization of the electronic devices such as printed stretchable TFT and circuits for the application of next generation display.

Xinqing Liang | President, LCD Branch | COEMA

Liang Xinqing, who was born in the year 1952 and served successively as the board member, executive director, president and vice chairman, has 40 years’ working experience in electronics and information industry and has witnessed the whole development history of China display industry. Since starting working as the secretary-in-general of China Optics and Optoelectronics Manufactures Association LCD Branch, he has been dedicating himself to the coordination and service towards China FPD industry and government as well as the promotion of the cooperation and communication between China makers and their global partners.

Wu is a Senior Analyst at IHS-Displaybank, responsible for researching the touch panel industry. He also worked at Market Intelligence and Consulting Institute (MIC) in Taiwan for six years, with research interests including handset supply chain and telecommunications services. Joohyun Koh | Manager, High Performance Display | Corning
Dr. Koh is a manager in the High Performance Displays (HPD) business unit at Corning Incorporated. He is responsible for collaborating with key display and panel makers in order to introduce Corning’s state-of-art products and process expertise. In addition, he supports Corning’s New Business Development organization.
He earned a doctorate in materials Science and Engineering from Penn State University in 1998. He joined Corning in 1999 and has taken various research and development positions in the area of telecommunications and photovoltaic. Dr. Koh has been granted 22 patents, and he has authored more than 90 technical reports and peer-reviewed technical publications.

Andreas Haldi studied Interdisciplinary Science at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zürich. After his diploma thesis at the Optical Sciences Center at the University of Arizona (USA), he was a graduate student in electrical engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology (USA) where he graduated with a Ph.D. in 2008. Since then, Andreas Haldi has been working at Novaled, first as Customer Project Manager in Dresden (Germany) and since 2011 as Customer Support Manager at the Novaled Korea office.
Sunghoe Yoon | Research Director, IT/Mobile Development | LG Display
Sunghoe Yoon received her Ph.D. in Polymer Science & Engineering from University of Massachusetts at Amherst, USA, in 1995. She worked for LG Chemical in Taejon, Korea from 1995 to 1999, then left for Japan and worked in Kyushu University in Fukuoka as a research fellow from 1999 to 2000. Since then she joined LG Display and now she is working for the development of smart mobile devices.
Mark Fihn | Sr. Principal Analyst, Electronics & Media | IHS
Mark Fihn is Senior Principal Analyst – Displays for the IHS Electronics & Media Group. He concurrently heads a publishing company called Veritas et Visus, where he supports the flat panel display industry based on his expertise related to notebook PCs, Tablet PCs, touch technologies, the LCD TV market, and display related human factors, including high resolution and wide aspect ratios. Prior to Veritas et Visus, Mark worked for 3 years at the market research firm DisplaySearch. He additionally participated for 15 years in computer system and LCD-related procurement at Texas Instruments and Dell while living in the United States and Taiwan. He has been active in many display-related areas, most specifically in publicly championing industry-wide adoption of high resolution displays, notebook LCD standardization, and video sub-system integration. Mark was educated at St. Olaf College (Northfield, Minnesota), the American Graduate School of International Management, (Phoenix, Arizona); St. Edward’s University, (Austin, Texas), and in the University of Texas at Austin’s doctoral program in International Business.
John Brady | Sr. Director, Product Marketing for the Smart Display Division | Synaptics

John Brady is a Sr. Director of Product Marketing for the Smart Display Division at Synaptics. He has been with Synaptics for over 11 years primarily in marketing and business development and played a key role in ramping up the clear capacitive touch business from the world’s first phone in early 2007. He specializes in the integration of leading edge human interface solutions into "smart devices" developed by mobile phone OEMs. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and a MBA from Columbia University.

Bob has over 25 years of sales, marketing, technology, operations and strategy development experience in the electronic interconnect materials market segments working for leading companies such as Park Electrochemical, Philips (Advance), Panasonic, and the Multek printed circuit business of Flextronics, International. Prior to joining UniPixel in 2013 Bob was Vice President Marketing and Strategy for the Printed Electronics business of Multek and Vice-President, General Manager for the Sheldahl Material and Touch Solutions businesses in Northfield, MN.
