Basically, Fission has claims adjoining Hathor's immensely successful Roughrider Zone. Hathor has drilled the Roughrider Zone right up to the Fission boundary. Fission drilled near the Hathor property boundary, and got very high grade results as well, demonstrating that Roughrider estends onto Fission property. They named this the "J" zone. Fission is now drilling widely spaced holes to see where the mineralization extends to/how big their deposit is.
8% is mediocre by Athabasca Basin standards, but rich compared to what is being mined elsewhere in the world. A really rich strike would run anywhere from 15 to 30 percent. What Fission is successfully doing, however, is proving that the high grade uranium extends far into their property. When they have a better idea where it extends, they will use drill fences and quite likely come up with much higher grade results.
As an aside, the price of Uranium certainly didn't take the tumble some might have expected.
