I am not sure what you were looking at when you refer to shorters today. What I saw was an 80,000 share dump/pushdown to .75 . Would it not strike your sense of logic that someone who could have sold all they wanted over the last few days at 2 to three cents higher would suddenly take an $800 to $ 1600 share loss when indicators for the day are all positive ? Yes, if you check the tape and the trading over the past few days/ months you will see today's action as highly bullish, as some big players continue to see stock available from weak hands. Any apparent shorts here are purely window dressing by the accumulators. This stock appears to be subject to a major M&A effort and will go go much higher as the overall market tightens and VMS sellers dry up. We are coming to a point where only bad news specific to VMS will send the stock lower. Otherwise , market strength and news will send it much higher. Some margin calling after the last few weeks resource share weakness will have seriously limited retail buying. I expect the best is yet to come and at much higher levels. The nickel spinoff will be only a first step in a bigger plan and a wonderful protective move by management.
