VMS Ventures Inc. and Hudbay Exploration and Development Limited Agree to Extend the Terms of Their Reed Lake Option Agreement

VMS Ventures Inc. (TSX VENTURE: VMS) (the "Company") is pleased to announce that the Company and its option partner Hudbay Exploration and Development Limited have agreed to extend their June 20, 2007 agreement on claims P5030E and CB5503. These claims, near Snow Lake, Manitoba have been the focus of attention over the last two years due to VMS' discovery of what has come to be known as the Reed Lake deposit. The extension is for one month and VMS now has until July 20, 2010 to exercise its option on the property. The companies are continuing to negotiate a joint venture agreement in respect of the Reed Lake property.

VMS Ventures Inc. is focused primarily on acquiring, exploring and developing copper-zinc-gold-silver massive sulphide deposits in the Flin Flon-Snow Lake VMS Belt of Manitoba. The Company's VMS project property portfolio consists of the Reed Lake Project, Copper Project, McClarty Lake Project, Sails Lake Project, Puella Bay Project and Morton Lake Project. Outside of the Snow Lake camp, the Company holds massive sulphide prospective properties near the past producing Fox Lake and Ruttan copper-zinc mines, near the communities of Lynn Lake and Leaf Rapids in northern Manitoba.
