Allen-Vanguard announces executed accommodation agreement with its lenders
OTTAWA, Sept. 30 /CNW Telbec/ - Allen-Vanguard Corporation (TSX: VRS) ("Allen-Vanguard" or the "Company") of Ottawa, Canada today announced that it reached an accommodation agreement with its lenders that defers the date of payment of the $10 million quarterly principal repayment otherwise due today and compliance with certain financial covenants under the existing credit agreement to October 31, 2008. The accommodation permits the parties to continue a dialogue regarding revising the existing credit terms. The Company meanwhile continues to explore recapitalization alternatives with various interested parties in conjunction with advisory work by its investment bankers and other outside advisors as referenced in its news release of September 16, 2008.
