Message: Comparison of V.VIT and V.EAS - what gives?

The difference between VIT and EAS is very clear if you take a closer look at these two companies. VIT is like an old tired woman. A huge ballast of 225 million shares keeps her down. Who knows, maybe another stock dilution is coming this year, and someone wants cheaper VIT shares. Maybe something is brewing right now that we know nothing about.

Evolving Gold (EVG-V) used to trade at $1.85 last summer, but is trading around $0.90 now (which is the price of their last private placement). Looks like they caught a tiger by its tail too (need more drilling to prove it), but the EVG management was making public comments about having enough money to complete their drilling program, and a couple of weeks later they diluted their stock at a much lower price. Investors did not like that.

Investors (not retail ones) will leave their old tired plays for the younger ones. That's a fact of life. VIT used to trade higher too when she was younger and lighter. She is an old and heavy woman now.

EAS made an amazing discovery in Indonesia. They announce their new amazing high grade drill results every couple of weeks (sometimes days). They run fast like a young athlete. VIT walks like an old woman wearing very heavy (wooden) shoes. EAS have announced more drill results in the last two quarters than VIT have in the last three years. Investors see that and they are abandoning their old women as fast as they can.

There will always be a number of faithful older folks who (like Thomas) are not really interested in young girls anymore, and who will stick around to the end, but they can't make their old women scream. They are not buying new shares of VIT stock above one buck.

The younger folks like driving in the fast lane. Look at the frequency of EAS' drill result announcements: 4/09/10, 4/06/10, 3/15/10, 3/04/10, 3/02/10, 2/17/10, 2/09/10, 1/19/10, 12/14/09, 11/30/09, 11/13/09, 10/19/09, 10/07/09, 9/10/09. In between those dates, they made several other (non-drill related) positive corporate development announcements as well. There is a good reason for the EAS' high share price and market value.

By the way, the TMX Money website (http://www.tmxmoney.com) will give you a current price quote along with the net shares out and market value.
