Victory Nickel Signs Contract for Minago Road Construction

Drill road to effectively extend on site exploration season

15:24 EST Monday, February 01, 2010

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 1, 2010) - Victory Nickel Inc. (the "Company") (TSX:NI) (www.victorynickel.ca) today announced the signing of a contract for construction of a 4.3 kilometre exploration road at the Minago site that will provide direct access from paved Hwy 6 to a limestone outcrop and the property in general. Material quarried from this outcrop will be used to build the road that will provide access for exploration activities and to develop initial mine infrastructure.

The work has been awarded to a consortium of Aboriginal contractors from the surrounding communities in line with the Company's efforts to maximize business opportunities for the local Aboriginal enterprises.

"Construction of this road is an important step in providing the needed access to the property for possible development of Minago," said Steve Harapiak, President and COO. "This is the first actionable item on the Minago construction schedule that we announced in December and, once complete, will provide a basis for year round site access allowing cost-effective exploration and other work on the Minago site."

Road construction is scheduled to be completed in March 2010. The Company is also in the process of establishing a 6,000+ metre drill program expected to begin in February.
