I too share your sentiments paliman. I also have questions (I posted on igloo):
Question that would be helpful to answer: Who is exerting this downward pressure on SP? With the positive NR's that we have seen since the business combination (With the exception of a lack of information in Cash cost/commercial production – which is negative) why would people be selling at this time. Any shares being sold now will not have been ones picked up by retail in recent history - they would be underwater – people are intelligent enough I think to know that the SP will go up again – why sell at a loss? The few long suffering shareholders (who bought at pennies – including KENT) would not be selling now.
Therefore, I can and must conclude that the downward pressure is not being exerted by retail. Then who? Who has lots of shares to sell…and why? I can think of a couple scenarios. Most likely is that it is manipulated down while support is drummed up for institutional investors to load up – but they always practice DD and would certainly want to see numbers before any buy in.
I now wonder very deeply about the latest MF transactions on Sedi – in the 'other category' where he incurred no net change at 78 cents. Could these be shares sold off to a private investor? Was he the middle man between a large buyer/seller? Would this be good?
I also can't help but wonder why SY bought so many shares on the open market.
