Edit this title from the Fast Facts Section
A couple things here to consider:
1) (positive) 2011 head grades were around 1.8gpt - so a 40% increase would represent a 2.5gpt headgrade. "...over the past month".
2) (negative) "This conveyor has constrained crushed and milled tonnages to 1200 tpd." This means Carib's Q1 projection(*1) will be off...it also means that their 21 February NR (*2) stating a mid-Feb production jump to 1600tpd is questionable for me. Did it ever reach 1600tpd? Did the high-lift conveyer break? OR was the 21 Feb NR a mistake and they meant 1200tpd...or is the current NR wrong and they meant 1600tpd? This needs CLARIFICATION!
3) (positive) It looks like within a few weeks we will be at 2000tpd with a grade of at least 2.5gpt. This would represent around 14,000 ounces for Q2.
4) (positive) Definition drilling will assist in further dilution control and resource increase.
5) (positive) Sigma West - I presume this is not the Bedard Dyke? I found this from some comments Production05 made (*3):
"Anyway, one should note that Sigma West (near to the Bedard Dyke) already has 22,000 ounces in P&P Reserves (perhaps not far from the Bedard Dyke access portal). It would make perfect sense to mine these ounces early. These 22,000 ounces could provide 4 – 5 months of ore feed during the early stage ramp up months, without even considering other sources of ore that could be mined simultaneously.
There are also 72,000 other Sigma West ounces booked as inferred. It's not clear if some of these inferred ounces relate partly to past Bedard Dyke drill results. Either way, there have been 13 additional drill holes from the Bedard Dyke since the resource calculation was done. As such, the new drilled data will likely increase the Sigma West resource total by quite a bit."
