Thanks NL for all the summaries. I have done much of the reading from the website and some of the material provided by Traps.
You highlight some significant points that never stood out on my first reading, the Ni-Cu stuff was not a surprise, considering that there have been many copper deposits mined in the area and into the ON side of the area.
My dad used to work at some of those long ago copper mines, and when I talked to him about that news release, he mentioned that Ni-Cu deposits tend to have significant Au and Ag credits in them. Enough that back in the 60's they would pay all of the smelter and shipping costs to send the ore to Sudbury and there would still be huge profits on what was then small margin pricing.
If the deposit turns out to be 'economical' we could be in for a good pay day, assuming that WEL would be into producing. I don't know what value the play would have if Wildcat were to spin off the property for a percentage, but I think that this is the aim of the company, explore and let others worry about production.
Does anyone have an idea on how a company is valued on that basis?
