the picture is actually by Ken Danby [At the Crease] - there's been a lot of speculation on who was the subject for the picture and when Danby died recently I think it was the globe and mail that ran a story that it was a junior goalie in southern ontario [Guelph?].

I have a picture of me looking like that from way back...when I could still reach far enough down to tie my skates ;-)
