As noted to the board, I forwarded MF a copy of the letter of complaint to the X re statements attributed to their spokesman. His brief reply was:

Thanks XXX. Winfield's business is ongoing and very positive.

For those with the need to read between the lines with a microscope I note the use of the word 'very' not used before in any standard characterizations of the co's business. Read into it what you will - or nothing at all.
