I was just about to post the response that I received:

Our new auditor is three months behind their scheduled timetable. We have hired an independent CA to oversee the auditors process and to protect our interests. We are in contact with the BCSC and are working to complete the audit by July 30, 2008.
The independent CA is to review all our accounting systems, then make procedural recommendations to pre-empt any future late filing.

I feel that the shareholders really should be informed of this critical issue, regardless of the promising ongoing business operations. Perhaps an emergency shareholder conference call can alleviate a lot the current lack of communication shareholders are feeling.
