Braniff - You stated: Those who are angry at the information in Roy's post must have wayyyy too much invested in this incredibly high risk play.
Well I have quite a few shares and I'm actually really happy about Roy's post. Like Via Rider said maybe it is a good thing that we are not trading now with the hammering in the penny stocks that is taking place. I was so excited last month as my portfolio had regained all the losses from the last few hammerings in August and January (even forgetting WWF) and then lo and behold - back to square one now in about a month!
I was a bit worried about going to the CNQ too as I noticed that some stocks were not RRSP eligible. That information from Roy that we will be staying on the NEX is good. I had also emailed Mr. Foley, and he responded that 'The CNQ is RRSP eligible.". I would have hated to have been forced to sell at a loss because it was in my RRSP - so this is good news to me. I have almost half of my holdings in my RRSP and the rest in regular trading accounts for my son and myself.
I'm counting my blessings. At least we have HOPE. Some of you that are so negative sound like you would just like to have the news that we will never trade again and you have lost all your money and be done with it. Gosh, but you should have sold on the last day before we halted if that was the case and at least got something back - you had fair warning.
I have a favourite saying from a special book of quotations I have and that is: Just think how happy you would be if you lost everything and then got it all back again.
So maybe that is the way to think about this one - write it off and then just sit back and check at the end of October and see if you might have a nice surprise waiting for you. Anyway, that is what I’m going to be doing – not going to be losing sleep or being unhappy about something over something I can’t do anything about. I might not end up being rich like I had hoped (or maybe I will) but I’ll just sit back while I wait and count my other blessings in the meantime, like being alive and healthy and not broke and having people in this world that are dear to me.
Best of luck to all holding,
Goldie - aka Susie Sunshine :) J
