Engineering, procurement, construction & management of crude oil refineries.
I must say that I was a bit shocked to sign on and find my news published here. Never mind though (Deacon – you are forgiven) as I know it was meant in a good spirit. I suppose I should be thankful as I never would have said anything myself on the board, and I realize that I do have a community here: even though we don’t know all of each other personally we have been all through a lot together these past few years and have sometimes made personal friendships here. We all followed Roy’s experience and even though a lot of us didn’t know him, we were all rooting for him. I’m sure that every bit of positive energy gets through when kind thoughts are sent. I’m doing fine and expect that everything will all work out in my favour. Yes, Rarebird, I will continue to be the diehard (whoops, shouldn’t have used that word!) – make it eternal, whoops again, no, continual optimist.
Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts. I’m having the cancer out on May 5th so just send some positive vibes to me that day to hope that it hasn’t spread (which I am very hopeful it hasn’t). In a perfect world, I’ll wake up after the operation with good news, and then find our WWF going to the roof, with everyone loaded up on the train, and I won’t be on the wrong one to Georgia! (just kidding – not happening, the train to Georgia thing, not the WWF thing).
Best regards,
Goldie
P.S. - Roy - I just read your Beer and Mayo post - I loved it - very wise and good advice for all.
