Good individual stories usually beat the gloom of the general market, no matter what the company is involved in.
Yesterday (Tuesday) I noticed that every single one of the 42 stocks I own or follow was down, with ONE exception, XEL.
That fact that we stayed in the green in London and Canada when everything else was falling is a sign to me that XEL's positive story is still driving the stock up on both markets no matter what happens with the rest.
Furthermore, I agree with you about the possible big leaps based on good flow results. After all, if we continue to do well with none to limited news in a bad overall market, then good to great news should send the stock soaring. After all, I can see a lot of people who are getting out of their losers, wanting to ride the wave up, even if its just a short ride.
By the way, XEL is up on the LSE by almost 4% as of 9:30 a.m. Toronto time this morning.
Cheers,
PW
