16 January; Hires VP Exploration & Supports University Research Program

Peter Wood, P. Eng, P. Geo. brings over 25 yrs in mineral exploration & development; He obtained a M.Sc. (Geology) from University of Toronto in 1987 and will oversee the design and management of exploration programs.

 Zenyatta is supporting a Lakehead University M.Sc. research program to be supervised by Dr. Andrew Conly, Ph.D. of Lakehead University Mineralogy and Experimental Laboratory ("LUMINX") in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

5 February; Ultra-High Purity of 99.96% C Yielded from 2nd Series of Tests on Graphite Samples

SGS Canada Inc. ("Lakefield") produced a natural graphite product equivalent in purity to the highest grade synthetic graphite using low-cost conventional processing techniques that will allow Zenyatta to target the growing market in high value-added graphite applications.

14 March; Commences Drill Program to Define NI 43-101 Resource at Albany Graphite Deposit

Drilling will focus on defining the size and grade of this rare, hydrothermal-style graphite deposit for a 43-101 resource estimate.

8 April; Awarded Discovery of the Year in Ontario & Top Performing Company on TSX-V

Awarded the "Bernie Schnieders, Discovery of the Year" in Thunder Bay on April 2nd by the Northwest Ontario Prospectors Association (NWOPA) to recognize an exceptional discovery in Ontario during 2012.

 TSX Venture Exchange announced a group of strong performing companies from the various sectors, including Mining, based on equal weighting of market capitalization growth, share price appreciation & trading volume. The top performing company from the mining industry sector is Zenyatta Ventures Ltd.

25 April; 3rd Series of Tests Using Different Concentrate Sizes & Grades All Yield >99.97% C

All trials using a simple caustic baking leach process conclusively demonstrated that an ultra-high purity graphite product with >99.97% Carbon ("C") can be produced. The process was successfully applied to a variety of graphite concentrate samples that had initial carbon grades in the range of 46 – 90% using conventional flotation techniques. In all trials the final purity values were >99.97% C and up to 99.99% C in many cases, regardless of initial carbon grades.

21 May; Ground Geophysical Survey Shows Two (2) Adjacent Graphite Breccia Pipes

Crone Geophysics & Exploration Limited ("Crone") was contracted to carry out a ground EM geophysical survey to better define the geometry of the Albany graphite deposit, initially identified by an airborne EM survey. The survey revealed two (2) discrete, strongly conductive zones termed the East and West breccia pipes.

18 June; Engages RPA to Prepare a 43-101 Resource Estimate on the Albany Graphite Deposit

RPA Inc. to complete a National Instrument (‘NI’) 43-101 Mineral Resource Estimate. The technical report on the graphite deposit will fully conform to the CIM Standards on Mineral Resources and Reserves – Definitions and Guidelines as referred to in NI 43-101 and from 43-101F1 – Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects in effect.

25 June; Warrant Exercise Yields Approximately $12.6 Million

Warrant exercise yielded gross proceeds of $12,674,000. Warrants were priced at $1.00 and expired on June 24, 2013. It will be used to fund drilling, resource estimate, metallurgical studies, graphite characterization and a preliminary economic assessment. The budget for this program is approximately $7.5 million.

2 July; Drilling Intersects Wide Zones of Graphite Mineralization on East Pipe; Drill Now Mobilizes to West Pipe.

Hole 13 yielded 177.0 m @ 5.3% Cg from 138.0 m – 315.0 m within a wider intersection of 219.9 m of graphite mineralization grading 4.5% Cg from 95.1 m to 315.0 m.

31 July; Drilling Yields More Significant Results from East Pipe and Intersects Wide Zones of Graphite Mineralization on West Pipe

Hole 24 yielded 150.6 m @ 4.8% Cg from 61.0 m to 211.6 m within a wider intersection of 191.0 m of graphite mineralization grading 3.8% Cg from 61.0 m to 252.0 m.

29 August; Initiates Mini-Bulk Sample Program with Second Drill Rig

2nd drill rig has commenced drilling on the East Pipe with a larger drill (HQ size) to obtain 5 tonnes of graphite mineralization for a 2nd phase processing of a mini-bulk sample at SGS Canada Inc. (‘SGS’) in Lakefield. This will allow additional optimization of the flow sheet for the preliminary economic assessment (PEA) and provide material for further testing by Zenyatta and interested parties who have requested material.

3 October; Electrical Resistivity Test on Albany Graphite Yield Exceptional Results

These results are comparable with high grade synthetic graphite and represent a value at the top of the range. These initial test results are very encouraging and indicate that Zenyatta’s high purity graphite should be competitive with the best graphite available for a variety of applications including electronic components and batteries. Don Hains, P. Geo. industrial minerals technical advisor, "These results are very promising, especially considering that tests were run on as-produced sample material from the initial bench-scale test work. The optimization work now underway should yield even better results in terms of graphite properties."

10 October; University Laboratory Tests on Albany Graphite Show Excellent Crystallinity & Surface Area Characteristics

Don Hains, P. Geo. industrial minerals specialist and advisor to Zenyatta stated "SEM Photos show highly crystalline graphite with no contaminants and a very high aspect ratio (length verses thickness). These images closely resemble micrographs of commercial grade synthetic graphite as published by major synthetic graphite producers. The typical particle size from the SGS bench scale processing was in the 7 - 46 micron range."

 Don Hains, P. Geo. stated, "The BET results indicate very high quality natural graphite matching high purity synthetic graphite in terms of surface area. Also, the average pore diameter for the Zenyatta material shows the unit cells are the same as determined for pure natural graphite."

23 October; Drilling for NI 43-101 Resource Estimate Complete; All Drill Holes Intersected Wide Zones of Graphite Mineralization on the East and West Pipes

Hole M02 (East) yielded 210.8 m @ 5.8% Cg from 50.5 m to 261.3 m within a wider intersection of 440.0 m of graphite mineralization grading 3.8% Cg from 50.5 m to 490.5 m.

 Hole M01 (East) yielded 255.5 m @ 5.5% Cg from 48.0 m to 303.5 m within a wider intersection of 464.2 m of graphite mineralization grading 4.5% Cg from 48.0 m to 512.2 m.

11 November; Receives Support from the Government of Canada for Unique Albany Graphite Deposit

National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP) agreement with Zenyatta will provide technical advisory services and a financial contribution of up to $350,000 from NRC-IRAP for on-going metallurgical testing at SGS Canada Inc., of two 5 tonne mini-bulk samples from the East and West graphite pipes.

 Aubrey Eveleigh, President & CEO stated "We are very pleased to receive recognition and support from the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program. 19 November; Former ConocoPhillips Manager of Graphite Materials Joins ZEN Team as VP Market Development

Appointment of Dr. Bharat Chahar to position of VP Market Development with responsibility for advancing marketing opportunities for the unique High Purity graphite products.

 Bharat Chahar, Ph.D. is a chemical engineer with more than 30 years of carbon research and development experience with ConocoPhillips based in Houston, Texas. Dr. Chahar obtained a B.Tech. (Chemical Engineering) from Indian Institute of Technology at Delhi, INDIA; a M.Sc. (Chemical Engineering) from University of Alberta, Edmonton, CANADA and a Ph.D. (Chemical Engineering) from Rice University, Houston, Texas, USA.

2 December; Robust Initial Resource Estimate for Albany Graphite Deposit

RPA estimates Indicated Mineral Resources delineated to date total 25.1 million tonnes ("Mt") at an average grade of 3.89% graphitic carbon ("Cg"), containing 977,000 tonnes of Cg. In addition, Inferred Mineral Resources delineated to date are estimated to total 20.1 million tonnes at an average grade of 2.20% Cg, containing 441,000 tonnes of Cg.

18 December; Engages RPA to Conduct a Preliminary Economic Assessment for the Albany Graphite Deposit

RPA will prepare a Scoping Study that will meet the requirements of a PEA under CIM Standards. The technical data for the study will include among other items: mining, metallurgy and processing, infrastructure, environment, manpower, marketing, life of mine plan and execution plan.

The global trend in graphite markets is to develop products for technological applications that require extraordinary performance using ultra-high purity graphite powder at an affordable cost. High purity is gaining prominence at a time when Zenyatta discovered a very rare (hydrothermal) graphite deposit, which can be upgraded to 99.99% carbon without the use of aggressive acids like hydrofluoric (HF) and high thermal treatment.

The outlook for the global graphite market is very promising with demand growing rapidly from new applications. It is now considered a strategic commodity by many industrial nations, particularly for its growing importance in high technology manufacturing and in the emerging "green" industries such as electric vehicle components and energy storage. The application for graphitic material is constantly evolving due to its unique chemical, electrical and thermal properties. It maintains its stability and strength under temperatures in excess of 3,300°C and is very resistant to chemical corrosion. Zenyatta’s Albany (Hydrothermal) Graphite Deposit is located in northeastern Ontario, Canada approximately 30 km north of the Trans-Canada Highway, power line and natural gas pipeline near the communities of Constance Lake First Nation and Hearst. A rail line is located 70 km away with an all-weather road approximately 4-5 km from the graphite deposit. The deposit is near surface, underneath glacial till overburden and a thin veneer of Paleozoic sedimentary cover rocks.
