Hydrothermal Graphite Deposit Ammenable for Commercial Graphene Applications
market cap may be ridiculous, however we have hit multiple obstacles over the past few months that have definitely hurt stock value:
1- Bulk Sample results - Initially discussed and being in the works of Fall 2013, reported in January's 43-101 that they would not be started until January 2014 with results available in March 2014.....still waiting.
2- PEA - I know...third party delay. However this PEA, much moreso than even the 43-101, is an integral report for ZEN. ZEN's entire value and potential comes from its ability to compete in the high-end/synthetic graphite markets. ZEN does not have the tonnage of flakers, it has less graphite but what is deemed to be MUCH more valuable graphite, as such the $$$ associated with this stuff are everything. With this being a rare type of resource noone can fully grasp its value/potential value for sale, let alone the processing costs. With seemingly unknown selling prices (high potential, not confirmed) and unique and yet to be determined/released processing costs, the market may not fully believe this story without economic numbers to back it up. Though many of us may feel comfortable accepting these numbers at conservative values as a given, given all that has happened in the markets/junior mining sectors/venture exchange over the last while, it is tough to blame the market for punishing the SP for not being supported by a PEA....yet
3- CLIFF's - Who would have expected this curveball a week before the PEA release was anticipated. (other than of course Mr. Chief. Hey look he actually got something right about ZEN in the past year, at least he's humble about it....) Cliff's has their own battles to face right now, and unfortunately ZEN is stuck in the middle of it. Hopefully this whole Cliff's thing is over soon and those shares are in stronger hands...hands that actually know what Zenyatta Ventures is.
4- Unknowns- Suitable uses?? End users?? Off takes?? PEA numbers?? Market size of ALbany graphite?? with all the NDA's/blackouts, management has its hands somewhat tied during this crucial period where the stock is stuck in the mud. It sucks feeling out of the loop, yes. It sucks having your patience tested multiple times, yes. But for those of us who see the enourmous potential of this resource, and are comfortable filling in blanks in the unkowns above based on what reasonable estimates of what we have received from the company so far, the payoff from here could be substantial.
I know there is a new PPT presentation up on the site now, but for those of you with access to a copy of the Japan presentation , it is well worth reviewing the technical slides which have subsequently been deleted, combine that with a review of the October 3, 2013 (Electrical Resistivity Test on Albany Graphite Yield Exceptional Results) and October 10, 2013 (University Laboratory Tests on Albany Graphite Show Excellent Crystallinity) news releases...those slides will assist in filling in a couple of the blanks above.
O yeah, you might want to re-watch this little gem:
