Agreed, I cannot believe that they wouldnt proceed in an orderly fashion to get the most value. Thier stated objective is to gain maximum value for shareholders. While divesture is also a goal, I think they must take an approach to do this in a way to maximize shareholder value. That does not mesh with dumping into the market and further reducing thier own value. I think Cliffs was selling before to demonstrate action on thier part, ANY action that might help them swing the vote.
Now that the BOD is controlled by Casablanca, they will strategize the way to get the most while keeping thier plan to divest. That could include several options, block sales, waiting for higher stock price or the PEA or a buyout.
One thing for sure, IMO, they want OUT!
