I don't think there is any control being exerted by a buyer. Both buyers and sellers are in a wait and see mode. I bought 17100 (TD) shares today at $1.57 with 8400 unfilled. No one wanted to step in front of me and pay more and very few wanted out at that price. Until something breaks on the news front I think we are firmly range bound by our own risk aversion on both sides of the trade. Just a market reminder that retail is along for the ride.
