No, imo, it is not an appearance. Those are actual sales, there are more sellers than buyers (declining price). Could the selling be retail or short term traders getting stopped out? Absolutely, that is a possibility.
I don't buy the argument that the stock price is constantly manipulated through comments on stock boards. After the capitulation sell-off in mid December, the price has settled into a very normal trading range. The pattern is very similar to that of many other stocks that experience such news related events. In fact, the mid January retracement (133) did not reach the lower trading band / support areas (120s) before reversing and tagging the upper trading band / resistance (high 160s).
