This points out the environmental issues associated with producing synthetic graphite; when used in EV batteries, it blunts the advantage of EV's being environmentally friendlier than IC engine vehicles due to synthetic graphite being so dirty to produce.
This also reminds me of the recent testing of our Albany graphite, and how it tested as good as or better than synthetic in a number of applications. If this is all true, imagine not only the coast advantage we'll have over our competitors right out of the gate, but the environmental advantage. And that's not even considering the ease of converting our graphite to graphene.
