i like making a profit.

my background is as an accountant and our motto is “the only thing worse than having to pay too damn much tax is - not having to pay too much damn tax”.

my thoughts are i do not want to have to close out a position with a capital gain and paying a heavy portion of that investment to the government, if it is possible to turn the investment into a good dividend paying investment without having to sell it out and thus forfeiting a major potion of its true capital value
