In early February TD Waterhouse transferred from my non-registered account to my TFSA in less than five minutes on the phone.  USD value of $0.632 converted to CDN at the official exchange rate on the day I did the transfer. This could not have been easier to do. TD Waterhouse had all of the valuation information on hand and I did not have to provide them with anything.  Good luck.
