Zenith's BET Inhibitor ZEN-3694 is Currently Being Evaluated in Multiple Oncology Clinical Trials
Good morning all
I think I am the poster that longtimerzen is speaking of, 3-4 weeks ago I reached out on the board to ask fellow posters which brokers were allowing Zenith shares to be transferred into registered accounts(thanks to all that shared their experience) I then approached several brokers and was met with resistance..... several posters mentioned Scotia ITrade and I bank with Scotia so I contacted ITrade and after discussions with several agents/brokers with no success I managed to get a supervisor that made inquirys in the back office. I was asked for an independent valuation letter which I was unable to provide. I was able to provide a letter "Managements estimate of fair value of common shares" and I was told the letter would be acceptable. I then requested a transfer from my investment brokerage to Scotia ITrade. My shares arrived at ITrade and I asked that they be contributed to my TFSA at which time ITrade said the letter I had provided was not current enough and they required a more current letter with a signature of the CFO. I complained that Scotia ITrade move the goal posts by now requiring additional more current info after I had already met the requirements 3 weeks ago.... and now transferred my shares to ITrade. Their response was that I have to provide the updated info period. I reached out to Sarah at Zenith and requested the updated letter and she has replied to please stand by while she submits my request to the board, but to be aware that to accommodate the request zenith would have to go through a specific procedure to update the valuation. I am now awaiting this decision.... this has been a 5 year endeavour on and off to move these zenith shares to registered accounts to help shelter the shares from future taxation and I have not managed this task as of yet.
I did tell Sarah that Zenith BOD needs to support shareholders and find a procedure to simplify placement of zenith shares in registered accounts. And that Zenith is doing shareholders a disservice by not solving this ongoing dilemma.
As of this time.... I am awaiting Zeniths response for an updated management estimate of fair value of common shares............
