MONTREAL, CANADA--(Marketwire - May 1, 2009) - ZoomMed Inc (TSX VENTURE:ZMD). Mr. Yves Marmet, President and Chief Executive Officer of ZoomMed announces the Corporation signed, on April 30, 2009 a Purchase Offer Agreement regarding the acquisition of all the assets of "ZoomMed Equipment", which sells supplies and paramedical equipments to the public in general and Healthcare agencies, including its franchise network which operates under the name ZoomCite.

"ZoomMed Equipment's assets represent only 2.5% of the total assets of the Corporation. We have accepted this offer in order to focus our efforts and resources, as well human as financial, on the "ZRx Prescriber" development and marketing, which proves to be, since its introduction, a stunning success throughout Canada" said Mr. Yves Marmet. "We are convinced that this transaction will benefit the Corporation and all its Shareholders" added Mr. Marmet.

The transaction is conditional to:

- The completion of a Due Diligence by the buyer; and

- The approbation of the Regulatory Authorities.
