The Automated Flight Information Reporting System (AFIRS) is an airborne autonomous flight information collection and reporting system for use in commercial aircraft applications. The system generates data reports and relays them via UpTime to the aircraft operator's facilities. The reports arrive as e-mails, which are collated and formatted as required through the UpTime web based environment.
