SAGUENAY, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - August 7, 2012) - Arianne Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:DAN) (FRANKFURT:JE9N) (OTCBB:DRRSF) (the "Company" or "Arianne") held another round of community meetings in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region, to provide feedback on meetings held in June and December 2011. These latest meetings took place on July 3 and 4, 2012, in Saint-Ludger-de-Milot and in Saguenay.
Mrs. Johanne Gélinas from consulting firm Samson Bélair / Deloitte & Touche, which has replaced the University of Quebec at Chicoutimi Chair on Eco-Advising in its sustainable development approach, attended the two consultation sessions.
The main objective of the meetings was to present Arianne's responses to public concerns and to consult the community on the creation of a monitoring committee and on the Company's sustainable development approach. A total of 65 people, representing a wide variety of viewpoints, attended the two meetings. Among the latter, Mr. Ugo Lapointe, spokesperson for the "Coalition pour que le Québec ait meilleure mine!" was present.
Bernard Lapointe, CEO, stated he was "very pleased with the outcome of these meetings". The Lac à Paul project continues to be well-received and the efforts and openness of the Company regarding the population's questions are noted and acknowledged by all present, even by certain environmental groups. "As with any other mining project currently in development, we are aware that we will face certain challenges. However, we remain convinced that maintaining an open dialogue with local communities and taking into consideration, as much as possible, the concerns of the population regarding the project, are critical to our success. Now more than ever, the Company is determined to pursue development of the Lac à Paul mining project, with the collaboration of all stakeholders."
The questions that came up most frequently during the meetings will soon be addressed in an FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) section on the Company's website: www.arianne-inc.com under the "Lac à Paul Project" tab.
