I suspect the announcement had everything to do with the Richmond Club meeting coming up Wed. They likely figured they had to say something. There's no doubt that Jerry will be telling the California testing story. Had he told a roomfull of well-heeled strangers before they shared that news publicly with the shareholders....well that might be borderline illegal.....and for sure totally unethical.
