e.Digital...stores sequentially...yet has the distinction to separate different types of data segments....for a non contiguous system.

Same as pre mixing the milk and the chocolate to become one....they can then be separated.

They do not have to store multimedia files separately.

The header scheme of the OS has an ability of configuration to pull different data segments together...from a sequential environment.

Like files can also be stored contiguously in the same environment....for say a video file..containing the video and the audio.

My point is there is an adjustment factor in there you do not get with dedicated systems of contiguously stored data...

It`s a simple system sporting the attributes of complex non contiguous systems.
