Seeing that Samsung has announced the use of flash as a main memory......

The cache appointment in front of their endeavor should be reviewed to see what is dissimilar in their efforts to remove the RAM component normally associated.

There would be no reason to make such a claim..unless they have removed such a component...allowing the flash to emulate as the main memory in similar manner e.Digital does.

With that...the method to traverse the segment structures stored on the array(no matter what the make up of that structure)should also be reviewed for similar or dis similar abilities....as it may or may not related to the cache requirement.
