The existence of a ``VALID`` U.S. patent is prima facia evidence of a good claim...

Thus, in most of the patent infringment law suits, once the

party suing shows that a ``Valid`` Patent is issued to the party suing, the burden shifts to the ``Infrnger`` to prove the patent is (1) invalid, or there is no infrigemnt of it by the ``infringer``...

This is a daunting task as shown by the case you cite. So, you end up getting as much as you can convince a Jury to pay you for defendants profiting by the infringing of your patents...
