Ryanair`s new in-flight entertainment system, launched in September, is proving ``disappointing`` and could be axed.
The airline has been testing a new digeplayer. Portable and battery-powered, it stores films, cartoons, sitcoms and sports programmes on its hard disk. Ryanair has been renting them out for €7 (£5) per flight on five of its 77 planes, but admitted take up had been just ``3pc-4pc`` of passengers.
Michael Cawley, deputy chief executive, said lack of content in languages other than English was a problem.
``Unless we see an improvement, we will not roll out the system,`` said chief executive Michael O`Leary.
