Bandar Seri Begawan - Royal Brunei Airlines (RBA) has put Brunei on the map of Asian aviation industry as it receives the Best Economy Class of Asia Award from German`s leading travel magazine ``Clever reisen``.

Clever reisen or Clever Travels, that has a readership of over 100,000, surveyed RBA alongside 12 other leading Asian airlines, including Cathay Pacific, Malaysia Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways and all Nippon Airways.

The determining factor of RBA`s award was credited to the 32-inch seat pitch and the 8.4-inch personal TV that provides excellent in-flight entertainment on board.

Clever reisen said, ``RBA`s Economy Class offers the best comfort on its route up to Australia and New Zealand.`` The retrofitting of RBA`s economy class commenced in the middle of 2004.

RBA`s in-flight entertainment system ``Sky Show`` offers passengers an extensive choice of audio and video programmes featuring 17 movies on-demand selections, ten short features, ten games, more than 60 audio-on-demand as well as 13 channels of continuous audio entertainment in a variety of languages with more options, added the German magazine. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
