which, pretty much means all of you! I am not an attorney nor an insurance agent, and these I.P. issues and procedures are new for me. My question relates to the infringers and how they fund these huge settlements. I am aware that many of these companies are worth billions, but how do they handle these large settlements? Do they set aside a certain amount of assets for emergencies like these, or do they have some kind of insurance? I would assume that they have some kind of insurance, but what do they do, go to the insurance companies and say ``we are infringing on other peoples I.P. and we need insurance to pay for the damages, in case we ever get caught``?, or what! Just wondering where all the money comes from for penalties and how it is accounted for in terms of rewerves.
