I live about 1 1/2 hours north of Squam Lake and about 1/2 hour away from the Mt Washington Hotel. Never been to the Shaker Village in Canterbury. Driven past countless times on I 93 but never taken the time for a visit. Sounds like you recommend a visit durring butternut squash season.
