Thank you for straightenning me out. Guess they don't actually qualify as a middleman (though they are sort of "in the middle", i.e., the deal might not get done without them being "in the middle"). But the key in your point is that the financier doesn't "make the sale", and the customer is more our's than the financier's (though is shared).
