Well, I was really thinking along the lines of the majors have the larger seatback IFE systems already installed whereas the regionals are leaning toward the portable systems. So what I was implying was that to stay competitive, this allowance of iPods on conventional airline IFE systems could drive the uptake of the portable systems on regional carriers EITHER to provide the larger screen (as you suggested) or (more likely I think) because they lack the installed larger screen and the portable IFE still allows them to differentiate as well as drive revenue. We need to remember as well not everyone has a iPod especially not a video ipod....yet. JMHO
