Not really...they have published IP of their efforts...IMO they're going to be hard to work around.

As for the "chip away" comment...they're all trying to get to where e.Digital already is..... utilizing flash as an all encompassing configuration component. Every other day we get news to that effect.

The industry is driven on countless application specific IC's....with countless arrangements of logic and memory...it's what keeps them all going....everything has a devised specific use....with devised obsolescence.

Seeing this as a standard.... "pluggable NAND module" at the embedded level with the portability they're after.... changes the outlook for a lot of companies.

If you want your hooks into an ever shrinking industry....that eventually comes to a very finite way of doing things...you had better start following a company now....be it e.Digital or any company you feel will be part of this consolidation.
